Meyco Brass Pop-up Type Anchor (Spring Loaded). This is the only spring-loaded pool cover anchor available that requires only one twist up and one twist down. Pop-up anchors are an alternative choice to standard screw type anchors. The largest advantage that the Meyco Pop-Up Anchor has over all other anchors is the amount of total time it saves. Instead of an inordinate amount of valuable time, these anchors provide a way to save small amounts of time on each anchor. By doing this, it saves a lot of time and effort by the time one's pool is opened or closed. When installing these anchors a 3/4" size drill bit is used to drill into the concrete. After this step, the anchor is inserted (case and internal) into the open hole. When each of these steps is complete, the anchor is ready to use. Use only a Meyco Hex Key (similar to an over-sized Allen wrench) to twist the internal part of the anchor up or down, depending on the direction of the twist. This tool is essential to using the Meyco Pop-Up Anchor because the hex key is very large and ideal for using these in a pool deck. These Meyco Pop-Up Anchors are made of solid brass which limits the amount of corrosion that can occur. They stay functional far longer that competitor's products made of stainless. Because of the twist and pop-up method, there is no direct competitor to this style pop-up anchor. Swim Things highly suggest the use of pipe anchors in other applications or wood deck anchors in wood decks. All of these products are ideal to make one's pool cover safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. When the pop-up anchor is not in use (during swimming season) the anchors recess into the concrete like they are not even there. Meyco products are made in the United States.

My order was damaged by UPS. The envelope was delivered damaged and ripped open with some of the parts missing. It looked as though it had been run over by a truck.
